Minsk region expects to fulfill the five-year plan for almost all key indicators

According to the results of the five-year period of 2016-2020, the Minsk region expects to fulfill almost all key performance indicators. BelTA learned from the deputy chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Nikolai Rogashchuk.

“Given the GRP of 2019 and 2020, we hope to fulfill the five-year plan for almost all key indicators. Yes, construction and installation work dipped a bit in 2016. But in almost all other respects - retail trade, export of services and goods - we will fit into those forecasts that were planned for the five-year period, "said Nikolai Rogashchuk.

At the same time, according to the deputy chairman, the year 2020 will be difficult. “Our gross-forming enterprises will have a hard time, there will be no volumes of past years,” he added.

Currently, the regional executive committee is working on a program for the development of the central region for 2021-2025. It is planned to create a plan that will take into account the specifics of each region of the region. For example, Volozhinsky, Vileika and Myadel districts are more suitable for the development of the service sector, and Berezinsky and Kletsky - for agriculture. Work will continue on moving capital industrial enterprises outside the city limits and on the development of the Minsk free economic zone.
