Details of Lukashenko's visit to Russia's Far East revealed

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin will discuss the entire range of matters concerning Belarusian-Russian relations during the Belarusian leader's visit to the Russian Federation, the press service of the Belarus president told BelTA.

Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit Russia's Far East. On 12 April he is expected to meet and negotiate with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. On Cosmonautics Day the two heads of state will go together to the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Amur Oblast. Belarusian specialists are expected to participate in the construction of the cosmodrome's infrastructure. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will be made familiar with progress of construction of the space launch facility and will talk to pilot-cosmonauts and personnel of the cosmodrome. 

At the cosmodrome the presidents will meet one-on-one to discuss current matters concerning the development of Belarusian-Russian relations, joint measures designed to counteract the sanctions-fueled pressure of the collective West, the situation in the region and the world, and events in Ukraine. After the negotiations the heads of state will meet with representatives of Belarusian and Russian mass media. 

While in Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko will also visit Primorye Territory. The head of state is expected to meet with Governor of Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako in Vladivostok on 13 April. Belarus' cooperation with this Far East region of the Russian Federation will be high on the agenda. The delegations will discuss the realization of current projects and new avenues of cooperation. In particular, they will focus on trade in a broad range of products and supplies of fish products to the Belarusian market. 

Aleksandr Lukashenko is also expected to visit Russky Island where he will get familiar with the realization of a number of infrastructure projects and public and cultural projects in Primorye Territory.
