Lukashenko takes part in EAEU summit

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is taking part in the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council which is held via video conference on 10 December, BelTA has learned.

Taking part in the summit are the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union, Honorary Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the presidents of the observer states (Cuba and Uzbekistan), as well as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich.

The agenda features more than 20 issues. The heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union will hear out a report on the implementation of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council decisions as of 11 December 2020 on strategic objectives for Eurasian economic integration until 2025 and on the progress in the negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

The members of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will consider the main areas of international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2022, the status of observer states in the EAEU, liberalization of some services in the EAEU, the functioning of the common market of construction services and uniform approaches to appraisal activity in this field, as well as the protocol on introducing amendments to the Treaty on the EAEU, the so called II Big Protocol, and three agreements - on navigational seals for tracking shipments, on audit activities in the EAEU and on enforcement of the obligation to pay customs duties, taxes, special, anti-dumping, countervailing duties during the carriage (transportation) of goods during the customs transit.
