Lukashenko, Putin to meet in Sochi for talks

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on 22 February.

The talks are expected to begin in the afternoon, BelTA has learned.

The leaders of the two countries are to discuss a wide range of issues related to the Belarusian-Russian relations, joint response to emerging threats, including threats to military security, and also cooperation in the integration organizations.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are also set to exchange opinions on the international agenda.

The Telegram channel Pul Pervogo has posted a photo of the room where the talks will take place. The atmosphere is informal. The meeting may not be limited to this location. In the morning Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko made a report to the Belarusian head of state on the topics of the upcoming talks.
