Belarusian government approves export targets for 2021

The Belarusian government has approved the export targets for 2021. Relevant resolution No.89 of the Council of Ministers of 15 February 2021 was officially published today on the national legal internet portal on 17 February, BelTA has learned.

The foreign institutions and the government officials responsible for cooperation with certain countries shall ensure that merchandise export is not lower than the figures approved by the document. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall monitor the performance of the indicators.

Thus, according to the government, Belarus' merchandise export to Russia in 2021 is projected to grow by at least 4%, to Kazakhstan - by 5.9%, to Armenia - by 2.5%, to Kyrgyzstan - by 1%.

Export to Lithuania and Ukraine is forecast to be at least at the level of 2020, to Latvia and Poland - to grow by 4.5% and 2% respectively.

Export growth to France is planned at 2.5%, to Belgium, Germany, Italy, Serbia - 3%, to Slovakia - 3.2%, to Spain, Sweden - 3.5%, to Austria, Netherlands, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Estonia - 5.9%, Hungary – 9%.

The government expects exports to China and Kenya to rise by at least 7%, Canada by 6%, Brazil, Colombia, the Republic of Korea by 5.9%, and Japan and India by 4%. Supplies to Nigeria are projected to skyrocket by 45%.
