In Krupky district, "Zazhinki-2025", which marked the beginning of the long-awaited harvest, took place at the Bolshaya Sloboda field camp of OJSC "Krupky RayagroService".
A folk ritual imbued with respect for the land, labor and bread has long been held on the eve of the harvest.
On Krupki land, traditions are carefully preserved, strengthening the hope for a good harvest, maintaining the continuity of generations.
Zazhinki is a family holiday. Children, grandchildren, spouses, parents, godparents and neighbors came to the holiday to support everyone who worked on the land and was involved in the 2025 harvest.
The honorable right to open the holiday is the head of the district. Vyacheslav Lopatko noted:
– We are launching the harvesting campaign – 2025. It is a sacred task to grow grain, harvest it and preserve it. The task is serious: we must make every effort and harvest the crop in the optimal time frame, fulfill the state order, form a seed fund, create a forage base. During the harvest, everything is important: the condition of the equipment, fuel, tasty lunches, competent organization of work, observance of discipline, safety precautions. But the most important thing is the conscientious and high-quality work of farmers.
According to popular custom, in order to collect a rich harvest, new grain must ride on the old one. The head of the district received a loaf of bread from last year's harvest as a symbol of prosperity and well-being.
The trade union leader of Krupki farmers Valentina Kozel presented a memorable gift to the director of OJSC Krupsky RayagroService Sergey Kirpichev on behalf of the district committee of the trade union of agricultural workers, as the head of the farm hosting the district "Zazhinki".
All good deeds always begin with God's blessing. The dean of the Krupsky district of churches, Archpriest Georgy Tyukhlov, addressed the farmers and participants of the festival with a prayer. The representative of the clergy sprinkled the field, equipment and those who will work on it with holy water.
Fragrant amulet loaves were presented to the farmers. The first combine harvester was sent to the field by the director of OJSC Krupsky RayagroService Sergey Kirpichev. In the cabin of the PALESSE GS12A1-PRO are Vyacheslav Ignatkov and Igor Dedovich.
“We won’t even count how many years we’ve been in agriculture,” the combine operators say. “But this moment – to start a big loaf in Krupshchina – is very important. That’s why the feelings are mixed: excitement, pride and great responsibility.”
