The holiday will begin with the writing of a dictation - the traditional event of the opening of the Mother Language Day in Belarus and the world.
Further in the program - the intellectual game "May Radzima - Belarus" in the pub quiz format. Questions will be related to the native language, traditions and culture of Belarusians. As a result of the game, three winning teams will receive symbolic gifts dedicated to the Year of the Small Homeland: books of classics of Belarusian literature (natives of the Minsk region). They will also summarize the results of the contest for the best performance of songs and reading poems in Belarusian, the contest "May Belarusian book".
The event will end with a film lecture entitled "Films in Belarus, I’m Such a Trend."
It is expected that about 60 activists of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union will be gathered in Smolevichy. The event is held in order to popularize the Belarusian language and culture and is timed to the International Mother Language Day, proclaimed by UNESCO.
The organizers were the main department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, Smolevichi District Executive Committee, Minsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
