Pupils of Minsk region won prizes at the Baltic Scientific and Engineering Competition

Students of secondary school No. 11 of Slutsk won degrees II and III at the Baltic Scientific and Engineering Competition, BelTA was told in the main education department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

The competition was held in St. Petersburg from February 3 to 6. This year, 371 research projects went to the finals. In total, over 500 students from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan took part.

Students presented scientific papers in robotics, ecology, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, programming, medicine, mathematics. The works were evaluated by a scientific, teacher, youth and business jury.

Students of the Minsk region adequately represented the region at a competition, their projects were awarded with diplomas and prizes. A diploma of the second degree of the scientific jury, a special prize and a diploma of the laureate of the business jury were awarded to Arthur Tsarikovich and Anastasia Krivenlya from secondary school No. 11 Slutsk in the section "System Programming and Computer Technology". The project "Contact - a mobile application for communication with people with speech impairments" was awarded. The leader of the guys was Vladimir Zhuk.

The diploma of the third degree of the scientific jury, a special prize in the section "Physics" and a prize from one of the sponsors awarded Elizaveta Grinyuk and Timofey Stambrovsky from the same school. The prize was won by the project “Using the Pocket Effect for Renewable Energy”. Dmitry Chernov became the head.

The Baltic scientific and engineering competition is focused on revealing the research potential of adolescents 13-18 years old. The organizer is the Foundation for the Support of Scientific, Scientific and Technical Activities of Youth "Science Time".
