Since January 1, the coefficients for real estate and land tax rates have been reduced in the Minsk region

Since January 1 of this year, the coefficients for real estate and land tax rates in the Minsk region have been reduced from 2.5 to 2. BelTA learned from the inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties for the Minsk Region.

The tax authorities explained that, by law, Councils of Deputies have the right to increase or decrease real estate tax and land tax rates for certain categories of payers. In 2019, local authorities could increase or decrease rates by no more than 2.5 times, since 2020 - not more than 2 times.

Thus, since this year, the coefficient of increase (decrease) in property tax and land tax has been reduced. The relevant decisions were made by all district Councils of Deputies and the Zhodino City Council of Deputies.

The texts of decisions can be found on the website of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties on the inspection page for the Minsk region in the section "Local taxes (fees)".
